DECA Headlines

As a state officer there are many different chapter events that I have been involved in. One of my favorite ones is when the officer team and I went to Edmond Memorial High School. We were asked to help with their officer installation ceremony. From the moment that we got there we felt welcome and knew we were going to have a good time. The officers and their advisor met us, and we prepared for the ceremony. They asked us to read different parts for the ceremony. After the ceremony we had refreshments, and we got to talk with some of the students from Edmond Memorial High School.

It was awesome to see so many members excited about DECA.

However, I think that the best part was during the ceremony I could look around and see all the new officers eager to make a difference in their chapter. I also saw the previous officers who had already made a difference, encouraging the new officers, and having a great time with each other, it was awesome. It just reminded me that DECA is like a family, because we care about each other and we are willing to help each other with anything.
