Ada High School’s DECA chapter, on November the eighth, lead a veteran’s assembly to honor all veterans and their families. The Veteran’s Day assembly was put on by three Ada high seniors, Olivia Ballard- President, Madison Brumley- VP of Leadership, and Bree Coyle- VP of Marketing.

These three opened the ceremony with a welcome. After which, the Chickasaw Color Guard came and presented the colors. Ada High’s band lead the National Anthem, and each branches song. During the playing of these songs, the veterans and their families were asked to stand and be recognized during the song for which branch they served in. Once recognized, former DECA member and Marine, Tyler Young came and spoke to the audience. He was an Ada High graduate in 2003.

It is awesome to get to see and hear about all the amazing things that DECA does in the surrounding communities, such as this excellent ceremony that Ada High School put on. It truly is an honor to be able to see all the wonderful things that DECA does.
