Creative Ways to Recruit & Engage Members

Now that we are officially back in the school year it is now important to find creative ways to recruit and engage members. Member recruitment is extremely important in an organization and today I will share some tips with you to help get more people involved in your chapter.

My first recommendation is to host a booth at a club fair. A club fair is an event where organizations can advertise and students will have the chance to look at all the booths and find what caters to their interests. This is a great way to advertise and get students excited to join DECA!

Another way to get people aware is to put up a bulletin board outside the DECA classroom. A bulletin board can be a great tool when it comes to discussing future events, meetings, or community service activities.

Lastly, it is also important to announce events on the intercom or during the morning announcements. This allows for everyone to be able to hear and then be able to participate in the future!
