I am thankful that DECA is a part of my life. I have made so many friends have been able to compete at DECA state and at nationals, and I am lucky enough to work alongside Council 78. I am also grateful for the opportunity to help lead Oklahoma and give back to the organization that has done so much for me. DECA has given me a wonderful opportunity to grow as a person and develop as a leader. As we celebrate DECA month, I think it’s important to remember where we started and to realize how far we have all come. When I first joined DECA, I didn’t understand how everything worked, and now just three years later, I am serving on the State Executive Council. Serving on the Council is one of the hardest and most rewarding tasks I have ever taken on, and I am very appreciative of my team and our members. At the end of the day, I am truly thankful for this entire experience because it has impacted my life in the best possible way. Thank you to everyone who has helped me to get where I am today. I am forever grateful for your help and support.
